DAY 13 - CONFIDENT PRAYER

Aug 22, 2026

THE WORD

"This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him."—1 John 5:14-15

THE BURDEN

Many believers pray with a quiet uncertainty—a nagging feeling that maybe God won't answer, maybe the timing is off, or maybe they haven't been faithful enough to deserve a response. So their prayers come out timid. Apologetic. Half-expecting silence.

John will not allow that.

He says we can approach God with confidence—not arrogance, but assurance. And the key is praying according to His will. So here is the question: is it God's will that the person you are praying for comes to know Jesus Christ? Absolutely, and without question. "God is not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). When you pray for the lost you are not guessing at God's will—you are praying directly in the center of it.

That means you can be confident. You can pray without wavering. You can bring that name before God every single day knowing that your prayer is aligned with the heart of the Father who wants that person home even more than you do.

Pray today like you know He hears you—because He does.

THE PRAYER

Father, I come to You today with confidence—not in myself but in Your will. It is Your will that the person I am praying for comes to know You. So I ask boldly, without wavering, that You move in their life. I trust that You hear me. I trust that You are already at work. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The name I am praying for:

FOR YOUR PRAYER PARTNER

Pray together today without any apologetic or uncertain language. No "If it is Your will"—you already know His will. Pray bold, specific, confident prayers for the person you are praying for and expect God to move.
