DAY 15 - SENT, NOT SUGGESTED
THE WORD
"So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.'"—John 20:21
THE BURDEN
Notice what Jesus did not say. He did not say "I also invite you." He did not say "I also encourage you" or "I also recommend you consider going." He said, “I also send you.” The same word used for His own mission from the Father is the word He uses for yours.
You are not a volunteer. You are the one being sent.
This changes everything about how you live. A volunteer shows up when it's convenient and leaves when it gets hard. One who is sent stays on assignment regardless of the circumstances because they answer to the One who sent them. Jesus didn't come to earth when the conditions were favorable—He came into darkness, hostility, and rejection because the Father sent Him and the mission was non-negotiable.
That is your model. That is your mandate.
Week Three begins today and the shift is this—everything you have seen in Week One and prayed for in Week Two now has to be lived out. The Gospel doesn't stay in your journal. It walks out the door with you every morning into your workplace, your neighborhood, your family, and your city. You are sent into every one of those places with the same authority and the same mission as Jesus Himself.
Live like it today.
THE PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I receive my assignment today. I am not a volunteer—I am sent. Give me the courage to live on mission in every room I walk into. Let the peace You spoke over Your disciples rest on me as I go. Let the person I am praying for encounter You through my life this week. In Jesus' name, Amen.
The name I am praying for:
FOR YOUR PRAYER PARTNER
Share with your prayer partner one specific place you are being sent this week—work, a neighborhood, a family gathering. Pray together for boldness and opportunity to live the Gospel out loud in that place.
