Day 10 - Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him

When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, there is the expectation that we will continue to grow in the same manner. Becoming a believer is not simply adherence to a creed or praying a magic prayer, it involves a genuine repentance of sin and a trust in the finished work of Christ.

This reorientation of life is the beginning of a journey with the Lord that continues as we receive more and more of His grace. We didn’t earn His grace when we were saved, and we don’t earn his grace by good works after we are saved either. Rather, we depend upon His grace, fall more in love with Him, and willingly do what He requires because of our love

for Him. Ask the Lord today for a continued outpouring of His grace on your life.

Prayer Prompt

Today as you pray, will you ask the Lord to continue to bestow His grace upon you? Will you ask the Lord to give you the hunger to continue to mature in your faith? Will you ask the Lord to reveal to you where your growth has been stunted so that you can repent and receive His grace?
